Tips on simple calorie burners into your everyday routine

Too busy to exercises, no time for workout activities and will like to be more active throughout the day. Below are some tips for you to integrate to your daily routine to burn more calories.

  1. Taking an after dinner walk instead of watching TV for an hour

  2. Using the stairs at the shopping mall or office instead of taking an escalator or elevator

  3. Park your car farther away so you have a longer walk to your office or home

  4. Eat at your dining table rather than in front of your TV as research show TV watching increases motivated responding to food and energy

  5. Get off your bus a stop before your destination

  6. Wash your own car, and save some money plus it’s a great form of total body workout

  7. Do your house chores like cleaning windows, dusting and mopping the floors

  8. Play catch with your kids, football or frisbee

  9. Stand and type when working at your workstation instead of sitting down

  10. Use a stability ball instead of your desk chair

  11. Cycle home from work if you live close enough

  12. Go out during your lunch break and avoid eating at your desk

  13. Need your daily coffee fix, pass on the sugar and cream

  14. Instead of calling or email your colleagues 5 meters away, walk over and put in some face time

  15. Tighten your abdominal muscles and engage your core to keep the back straight throughout the day on your office chair
